Aquara is to manage the water and sewer services in Alfajarín until september 2021

The town council has renewed its trust in Aquara by extending the current concession contract for four more years.

Aquara will continue to provide the water supply and sewer service in Alfajarín for the next four years. This was the agreement reached in the council plenary session, which granted an extension to the company until 30 September 2021.

For its part, Aquara is committed to investing to cover the needs of the municipal water and sewer service. This includes renewing two pumps to raise water from the reservoirs to the drinking water treatment plant, disconnecting two drain pipes and building a by-pass and siphon in the industrial estate wastewater collector, and conducting a land survey and inspection of the sewer system.

As well as these initiatives, in recent years Aquara has invested in offering a socially responsible service to the 2.250 inhabitants of Alfajarín, promoting activities such as the Aqualogía education programme for primary school children and organising an explanatory talk together with the town’s School for Adults and the Association of Housewives.
