Aquara and Suez SUEZ Water Spain take part in the 1st Strategic Immersion Conference of the Zinnae water cluster

The Suez Spain Centre/North Operations Manager, Rubén Ruiz Arriazu, joined the expert panel to discuss different solutions for extending the life of water infrastructures.

On 23 November, the Aragon cluster for efficient water use, Zinnae, held its 1st Strategic Immersion Conference, on the topic of the ‘Conservation of Water Infrastructures: Challenges and Solutions through Innovation’. The Aragon Institute of Technology (ATAINNOVA) hosted the event, sponsored by Aquara, among other companies.

The initiative, part of the Aragon Business Cooperation Plan, highlighted a number of current key issues for the water sector, with a programme that included contributions from renowned regional and national speakers from both inside and outside the cluster.

Among them was the Centre/North Operations Manager for SUAEZ Spain (the group to which Aquara belongs), Rubén Ruiz Arriazu, who spoke about ‘advanced operation and conservation techniques for sewer infrastructures in SUAEZ Spain’ as a member of the expert panel that analysed solutions for extending the life of water infrastructures.

Specifically, Rubén Ruiz presented the ‘Galia’ technological system, which permits advanced planning of sewer system inspection and cleaning work, thereby maximising efficiency. Added to the advantages of the ‘Galia’ system are the benefits of using drones for sewer system inspections, a success story also discussed by the Centre/North Operations Manager for SUAEZ Spain.
