The new edition of ‘Get wet for the SDGs’, the Aquara video contest to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, is underway
The initiative is aimed at the general public, associations, schools and city employees. The deadline to submit the videos begins today and will run until May 3.
Recording a one-minute video explaining how you contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals is all you have to do to participate in the video contest that Aquara has organized together with other companies from the group of companies to which it belongs. .
After the suspension of the previous contest derived from the confinement, the new edition of ‘Get wet for the SDGs’ wants to go beyond publicizing the Sustainable Development Goals. "Our ambition is to involve schoolchildren, associations and the general public to join and be part of the solution to the great global challenges such as climate change, inequalities, the loss of biodiversity and, of course, the scarcity of water", explains Laura de Vega, Director of Sustainable Development at Aquara. “Thinking globally, but acting locally. Now more than ever we are aware that our health is associated with the health of the planet ”, she adds.
At least one of those commitments that are reflected in the videos must be linked to the care of water and, therefore, to the contribution to SDG number 6 'Clean water and sanitation'. Ultimately, the goal is "to encourage society to move from awareness to action to build a better future together," says De Vega.
This call to action that Aquara makes is aimed at neighbors, educational centers, local associations and the company's own employees.
The deadline for preparing and sending the videos to the email address of one of the contest organizing companies, aquona@aquona-sa.es, begins on March 3 and ends on May 3. Once the deadline is over, Aquara will upload the videos to the contest's YouTube channel to begin the voting period that will run from May 17 to June 3. The announcement of the winners of the contest will take place around June 5, World Environment Day
